ABOUT AASCIPSW Misson AASCIPSW is organized and operated for scientific and educational purposes to: - Advance, foster, encourage, promote and improve psychosocial care of persons with SCI.
- Develop, advance and improve education and research related to the psychosocial care of persons with SCI.
- Promote the exchange of ideas in clinical practice and investigative endeavors.
- Recognize psychologists and social workers as health care professionals devoted to treating the problems of SCI.
Goals The goals of the AASCIPSW are to: - Maintain and increase membership in AASCIPSW.
- Establish standards of care for psychologists and social workers working in the field of SCI.
- Sponsor a Research Grant program.
- Publish educational materials for professionals and persons with SCI.
- Publish a quarterly journal, the SCI Psychosocial Process.
- Convene an annual conference.
- Recognize individuals who have demonstrated outstanding accomplishments in the field of SCI.
